The game in Oxford was early in the year before we had really established any kind of identity offensively and especially defensively. At that point in the season our D was playing on its heels. By the end of the season, I feel like a lot of that was corrected.
Sadly, I agree

Omaha I could believe. Final Four or Atlanta? Not a snowball's chance.
And don't accuse us of dwelling on the past if you're going to brag about events which happened while Bill Clinton was President.

Mississippi State played Tennessee in the 1998 SEC Title game.
In other words, IT ALREADY HAPPENED.

Texas is a shell of its former self so unless they make some drastic changes I can see Ole Miss getting a W in Austin next year.

WTF does Bill Clinton have to do with it? OM fans are notorious for bringing up shite that happened in the 50's, 60's etc.
I'm talking about the things that have happened in my lifetime.

Seeing a lot of people on this board, not just Ole Miss fans, who think they are going to go into Austin and manhandle the Longhorns. Just want to know why you all are coming to this conclusion after being on the receiving end of a beatdown at home in 2012. What will be different this time?
Because last season, perhaps our biggest problem is that our team didn't know how to win. We just fricked up 3 games we should have won and just didn't know how to keep a lead. Ole Miss historically almost always gets better as it achieves momentum and the season goes on. Ole Miss now knows how to win and we've got confidence. That's going to be the difference between this year and last year. Don't expect a beatdown like last year, because its not going to happen. We may lose, but its not going to be lost by double digits.

Let me educate you a bit. There are 3 places you will never have to worry about running in to an Ole Miss fan at.
Atlanta
Omaha
Final Four
I've been to Atlanta and Omaha before... I am an Ole Miss fan... Therefore, your logic is flawed
I just want to beat Vandy to start the year... I think we will play well in Austin but OM is gonna have quality depth issues for at least another year... Houston Nutt's classes gutted our 2 deep... We were very lucky we didn't have injuries along the offensive and defensive lines this season

I would think they need to worry about Vandy first.
That's true enough. I'm just hoping this year is Alzheimer's free, because our team and fanbase continually forget that Vandy has our number and this isn't the same Vandy team that was around 10 years ago.

No, coming into an Ole Miss thread to gloat about accomplishments that nobody cares about (and having "TSUN" in your goddamned handle) is what makes one obsessed.

But Ole Miss is known to go into bigger stadiums and surprise.
This too. We're pretty much the one team LSU doesn't really have a homefield advantage against since we love playing in those hostile environments.

The difference is this: we're not denying that we've scheduled cupcakes. It's just that, when we win 9 games with a handful of them against bad teams, we don't proclaim ourselves to be badasses.
There are people on this very board who have done the "well we won 8 games and the TSUN Bears won 7 so OUR SEASON WAS BETTER!11" shite. That's what we're debunking. Yeah, you got more wins, but against an easier schedule.
So it's no the schedule we're criticizing per se, but rather the celebration over the "success" with such a schedule.
