Nick Saban will receive a $525,000 Bonus For Alabama’s National Championship Win

The Alabama coach will receive a total of $525,000 in bonuses for winning the Southeastern Conference and BCS national championships. That’s more money than the salaries that are paid to at least 28 of the 124 head coaches at Football Bowl Subdivision schools.
Total bonuses for Saban and his staff, including several members of the support staff, come to $1,460,000. That’s an increase of 33.7 percent over last year’s total of $1,091,800.
Saban will get $400,000 for Alabama’s 42-14 over Notre Dame in the BCS Championship Game. He would have received $200,000 if the Crimson Tide had lost.
Saban also will receive $125,000 for Alabama’s 32-28 victory over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. He would have gotten $75,000 if the Crimson Tide had lost.
The bonus money is a little less than 10 percent of Saban’s salary of $5,316,666.67.

I'm glad for him and all, but seriously, there is zero reason to put this on SECr and not the Bama board other than to gloat.

He's done that several times while at Bama, donating bonuses he gets to his charity.

I'm not saying he's a complete asshat, but giving away $500k in bonuses doesn't mean as much when you make 5 mil a year as opposed to 1 mil a year. I mean good for him for helping charity, but I'm not going to all of a sudden think he's a great guy cause he gives 10% of what he makes to charity when he is rich as frick.

Good for him, but he gets to expense charitable donations at the end of the year. Lets not make him a saint people. Still a nice thing to do though.
