For various reasons UGA has had trouble recruiting at certain in-state schools that consistently put out many D-I recruits.

Grayson, Sandy Creek, Carver(Columbus) come to mind.

Do any of your schools have the same problems?

Just curious.

Olive branch. There's always some sort of conspiracy theory going on around there. I have no idea though as I don't know much about Mississippi high school football.

Their HC seems to dislike both State and OM for some reason.

Madison Central at times seems like an anti-MSU school.

Jarvis Jones and Crowell both came outta Carver... for not liking UGA, that's not too bad.

indirectly. He went to USC first

Crowell

Committed to UGA in spite of vocal opposition from the Carver staff.

I wouldn't necessarily say that Carver is anti-UGA though, at least not on the level of Grayson or Sandy Creek.

The coach at Lowndes in Valdosta is a huge FSU homer. It's been a struggle to get players from there to UGA in the past. Telvin Smith, Greg Reid, etc. JHC was a big get for UGA though

True. But it's like pulling teeth to get anybody from there.

Crowell is really the only one.

We got Jarvis from USC.

Who has Grayson put out that we really wanted? I know RN this year but I can't remember any big names.

Not sure who we offered besides RN's brother. We did offer Gallman this year. There may be others I'm not thinking about. Seems like they've put out a lot of talent though.

But, point being, big name or not, don't see any Grayson kids on our roster.

Idk. Use to be John Curtis. Not anymore though. There is probably some Shreveport school that dislikes us.

Doesn't Memphis hate Tennessee, also?

Over the last decade, we've just been getting lapped by the competition... it's not that they hate Auburn. Ever since Joe Whitt left the sidelines, we've struggled in Mobile... and no one has stepped up to fill the void until about two weeks ago. Craig (MT Blount alum) should change that.

Well, if they're not putting out the talent to be on our roster it's not a big loss. The only one I can remember is the DE named Obi from 5-8 years ago.

As already mentioned Olive Branch.

Also I feel like we'll never get a kid out if West Point or Columbus

It's been that way for a while , CBJ making a strong push to gain Memphis back. It's going to take time though, considering how hard the South/ Mid West/ Northern Schools all come in to recruit the area.
