We were going to get blown out by Florida regardless.

We got blown out last year looking almost the same.

In fact, this year we trail 35-18 at the half.

Last year, we trailed 50-25 at the half. Not much difference.

I will say this: The result of this game has everything to do with how horribly overmatched we are. That having been said, a good coach doesn't get into a situation in which he's down by so much that it takes his opponents' walk-ons being in the game to get the final margin below 20.

While I'm far from a bk fan, UF is the best team we will see all year.

There's never any excuse for a program like A&M to lose at home by 20 in basketball to anyone. Homecourt is such a huge swing in this sport and blowouts of 20+ by road teams are rare in major conferences.

Getting blown out in your house is almost always an awful sign.

There are some teams that are just that good and present so much of a matchup problem. 30 or more, however, means the team quit.

Not sure what you're trying to say here...we lost by 19.

My point was that we DIDN'T quit, we were horribly outmatched.

What WAS the coach's fault was the complete and total lack of fundamentals laid bare that turned a 1 point lead in the first half into a 17 point halftime deficit in 10 minutes.

My point was when a team quits (30-point blowout) it's the coach's fault. Nothing more.

Can we lock this thread now? I think we know the eventual result. It's just a matter of how long it takes to get there.

After tonight, I am convinced that BK is not the guy for us.

In many cases, what Kennedy is doing is WORSE than what Watkins did.

Watkins took a bad team and brought them to rock bottom.

Kennedy took a team that was used to winning and is systematically tearing it down.

Remember how he said that A&M was his dream job? That sounds a lot like a certain football coach saying that we were his "pine box" job.

Let's lock this thread if we get to 50 pages. This might become the most popular thread on the A&M Board before too long.

I think we can get there with minimal effort by season's end. The Alabama game will not be our only 'oops-I-crapped-my-pants' moment.

Are you sure that's gel or coagulated blood? (you know, the thing that happens to blood inside a dead body)

To me, being a potbanger seems like a better option at this point, but what's the use if A&M is just going to go dumpster diving for an new head coach?

We settled for a Billy Kennedy two years ago because he was a cheaper option than Buzz Williams, Jeff Van Gundy (lol) or whomever we allegedly looked at before we hired Kennedy.

As our AD is new to the job, I have nothing from which to base my opinion. I have no idea what type of hire Hyman could potentially make.

He hired Frank Martin while still AD of South Carolina...

Remember, Hyman didn't become our AD until AFTER the CWS ended.

Good point.

I wasn't sure if I could attribute the Frank Martin hire to Hyman or not. Excellent decision to hire Martin away from K State.

Without a coaching change, South Carolina will pass us up in no time.
