And, 16 true freshman saw significant playing time last year?

And, they are bringing in ANOTHER top 5 recruiting class?

And, they were one play away from winning the SEC West and at least one play away from going 11-2 after that?

Oh NO!!! The SEC Rant is right! The sky is falling and LSU will go no better than 7-5 next year!!!

I think that the oft prophesied and long hoped for demise of LSU on this board and around the country is once again premature. We only returned something like 10-11 starters from the 2011 team this year. We will actually be even more experienced next year than we were this year.

I am not saying that LSU will win the national championship or anything, but this will not be a bad football team.

Without the defections, LSU would have returned 20 of 22 starters. There were only 2 seniors starting on this team. So, all of these defections make it more like a normal year.

Well, everyone on this board seems to care incessantly.

How much we're losing is greatly overstated. We took a hit but you're not going to need a program on opening day to figure out who is who.

I think LSU will be right in the thick of things next year.

Mett will be better, the young o-linemen that took their lumps this year will be more experienced, ODB and Landry at wideout is nasty plus a few others, and yall always have a damn stable of backs. I expect alot of improvement on offense from LSU next year.

On D, the talent will be there no question, they will just have some players in spots who have to learn quickly and on the fly.

I do think we give LSU an absolute battle in Oxford next year.

All the Freshmen and Sophomores who will be starting next year on defense played A LOT and played very well with very little drop off. In some cases, I wanted to see more of the younger guys because they were outplaying stalwarts like Eric Reid and Tharold Simon when they were in the game.

I am just saying that everyone here is jumping up and down and giggling like a bunch of little girls at the thought that LSU is on the decline. It is actually quite funny to watch.

This may be true, but Alabama led college football in the category of yards from scrimmage put up by freshmen.

So obviously our freshmen were better than your freshmen.

Why, because I am bringing facts and not a bunch of fantasy?

How many threads have been started here by Bama fans and others about LSU's impending doom?

Legion.

Just answering back a bit. When Bama fans stop talking about LSU on the SEC Rant, then I will do the same.

It's mostly A&M and Arkansas fans who have hopes and dreams of replacing us as Bama's main challenger. They will cling to anything they can in order to convince themselves they can do it.

Print the T-Shirts.

Jeremy Hill was a true freshmen. He came on at the end of the season and was ridiculous. I'll take him over Yeldon, thank you.

Arkansas had their chance and blew it.

A&M will be in for a rude awakening next year.

Or, they are just trolling Rantards because everyone knows Rantards will take some stink bait like a hungry catfish. That would make too much sense and deviate from the "us v. the world" mentality you people have created for yourselves though.
