Or does LSU prepare their players for the NFL better? Bama's 2009 and 2010 classes were both ranked higher than LSU yet LSU has more NFL ready players from these classes. Which is it...overrated or poorly developed? Don't waste your time talking about championships, this is about NFL preparation.

The fact that you even ask this question convinces me that you are either a troll or an idiot. Since 2009, Alabama has put more players into the first round of the NFL Draft than any other program in college football.

NFL-ready =/= NFL-good.

Ryan Leaf was "NFL-ready"

Bump this thread in 3 or 4 years, then we'll talk.

Doesn't matter if they are, football national championships > recruiting national championships.

Well recruiting is about cfb, not the nfl. You are not recruiting guys to go to the nfl, you are getting them to do well in your program, not someone else's.

Bama is way over rated. Easy schedules, refs on their side, back into NC games, media bias on their side, ability to buy nicer cars, better and more entertaining chefs at their Japanese steak house, better bagmen, and 25 NC's. go home you can't compete.

Yes that's why they haven't won an MNC since 2007.

4 and 5 stars are told they will be NFL ready in three years when they are being recruited...not "come to our program and win national championships"

They're clearly overrated. Just look at the results on the field. I men, only three nattys in the past four years? Wtf is wrong? Oh, but Alabama had four first round picks last year so...

Nick Saban uses both the NFL and the possibility of playing for national championships in his pitches to recruits.

Troll job, but I will bite anyway.

1. How the hell do you know what they are told?
2. Why wouldn't they be told both?

I'm guessing you think "leaving early for the draft" means "NFL ready"...? Ask again on draft day, nd again in 2-3 years, to see if they were "NFL ready".

And anyway, I don't give a flying frick about the NFL. I care about what the guys do at Alabama. After that, its up to their new coaching staffs...

Again, what is the end game for recruiting? What is the ultimate goal? It's not to prepare the nfl.

this shite is dumb.

"Yo recruit, if you want to win championships and have a 20% percent chance of being a 1st round pick then go to Alabama. If you want a 30% chance of getting drafted in one of the seven rounds then LSU is your place." - Les Miles

championships are for the fans and coaches pay scale...top players are about how do I get the big $$$, not the small change at college.
