Last year's offseason, we got Penn State, Cowboys, Texas, and many others.

And as this coaching carousel winds down, it once again becomes clear that Saban is not going to the Browns, the Eagles, Texas, or Manchester United.

So... we know this will happen, starting around November of 2013, as NFL and college coaches' hot seats get warmer. What do we have to look forward to?

My top Ten candidates:

1. Texas (perennial favorite of SECr/TD)
2. Jets (Ryan gets fired)
3. Patriots (Belichick retires)
4. USCw (Kiffin gets fired)
5. Panthers (Rivera gets fired)
6. Steelers (Tomlin resigns? )
7. West Virginia (his home state! They fire Holgorsen to replace him)
8. Lions (Schwartz gets fired)
9. Jaguars (whoever their new head coach is gets fired after one season)
10. Oregon (Chip Kelly leaves for NFL)

I'd say at least 7 of these threads get created. Repeatedly.

Mal Moore will fire his arse, and not shed a penny due to the no buyout clause. He will hire Jim Harbaugh for 120,000 per year, just because momma called. Saban will take over the defense for the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky under The All Powerful Petrino and destroy Alabama in the National Semifinals in 2014.

I'm indifferent to him. He brought LSU a championship and actually thought the Dolphins are a destination job in the NFL, so he took a chance.

He's a miserable person, but oh well. He's the most successful coach on earth outside of Mike Krzyzewski. You have to respect his mechanical and maniacal methods that never waiver.

The only two things that really bug me about him are
1. The way he botched the Drew Brees situation
2. The way he lied to and belittled the south Florida media on his way out.

Saban's got a seriously good shot at surpassing Bear Bryant's 6 NC, and become the GOAT coach.

Saban still wanted him, called Drew to tell him the results and that they still wanted to discuss a contract. When Brees said, "Coach, do you still want me?" There was a pause, and Brees was totally turned off.

Few days later, Sean Payton calls him, arrange a meeting, shows him the N.O. East Katrina damage, and the rest is history.
