Auburn fans - where do you expect Derrick Green to go?

5* RB Derrick Green supposedly knows where he is going already, just hasn't made his decision public. Where do you guys expect him to end up? For the longest time it was Michigan, Auburn, and Tennessee. Now most of the talk seems to be between Auburn and Michigan.

Michigan blogs believe he is a UM lean, while Auburn blogs apparently believe he is an Auburn lean. I've read the Michigan reasoning over and over, just looking for a different take on his recruiting.

He was ready to commit to Auburn last August/September then our season and coaching change pushed him to Michigan. I still think he is a Michigan favorite but wouldn't be surprised if he wound up at either.

What AU sites have him as an AU lean? All I've seen have said Michigan is the favorite.

I would definitely say hes a Michigan lean right now. He likes AU but coaching changes and shitty season did it in for us. Our current staff has the ability to sway him IMO but dont think it will happen and not enough time.

I was reading MGoBlog and someone posted a thread with a link to an Auburn site that said Green was an Auburn lean. Admittedly I didn't click on the link, but I wanted to discuss here just because he is such a big recruit.

I saw a post on the Mainboard where apparently Green's GF stated AU was at the top of his list. Seeing as how that seems very far-fetched and at best about 5th hand information, I chose not to believe it.

If signing day was today I think he would sign with Michigan. However, there is still a month to go so who knows. JMO.

If he visits the new staff and RB coach, I could see him coming to Auburn.... I think deep down, he really wants to come here, but the circumstances have made it very difficult (almost a reverse of the situation that played out with Kris Frost and AU/Michigan).

Unfortunately I agree with this. You can tell he really wants to play in the SEC/south in general, but both teams he was considering had tough coaching turnover. The RB coach is what Michigan fans are most afraid of in terms of him justifying a decision to go to Auburn even though UM may be his best fit considering he wants a pro style offense and he could be the go to guy in our offense.

BTW - how has Kris Frost fared at AU. That was such a tough recruiting loss back in the day.

redshirted after an injury his first year and a non-factor at LB this past year... new staff and scheme should do him good, though

Michigan MUST land this kid. The most important recruit of the Hoke era.

Any reason Artis-Payne may have an effect on the decision?

Just curious, as I don't follow recruiting too much.

no clue, but I doubt it... pain will be a JR, adn Green would be the only underclassman RB on the team.

We really need RB recruits regardless of Payne, IMO.

I agree. Michigan has always had solid RBs but it has been a while since they've had a workhorse, go to RB like Green should be. Those types of RBs were a staple under Carr.

And here's the LINK

As you can tell, MGoBlog does a great job of making mountains out of molehills with their insider information and links.

Supposedly RB our new rb coach has been recruiting him like crazy and building the relationship. Gotten positive vibes from him. Still probably favoring UM but AU feels like they are improving their chances

Really? I haven't heard that. That's awesome. Hopefully he can build a good enough relationship by NSD, but still I think he signs with Michigan.

I don't think that dude has ever said one negative thing about Auburn in his life. He's definitely a homer.
