Baylor would be straight up nasty with him at QB. I personally would rather see him at Washington or Florida State.

The collective wisdom of the Rant has informed us that there's no way Johnny will be able to survive another full season playing in the SEC. We're going to need at least 6 scholarship QB's. 
For now, this is just a vicious rumor. No one should live in Waco unless they have absolutely no choice. I thought the rumor going around was that he was going to SMU.
Look at all these rumors surroundin' me every day.

Baylor doesn't seem like a great situation, but if it is the best he can get, I'm all for it. I wish him the best.

I wouldn't blame him for going there. Productive offense, good coaching, and close to home. Not sure how soon he would see playing time there but it seems like a perfect situation for him. Wish him the best

Probably shouldn't spend too much energy worried about it. The chicken little act on texags makes me insane. Most of the people talking about it are only speculating and then freaking each other out.
Like I said last week, the speculation around Showers is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of his options on the message boards. But it didn't stop the "he's gone" talk from a bunch of people (here included). Hill twittered he's an Ag commit just a bit ago post his trip to Waco.

Here's a question: With Matt Joeckel almost certainly gone now that his brother is going to the NFL, does that increase the likelihood that Showers returns for at least 1 more year?

Matt Joeckel isn't going anywhere. That dude would probably play 10 years at A&M if we'd let him
eta: for the record, I've been flat out told there is no player on the team that is having more fun in college than Matt Joeckel. And that includes JFF

Good for him  I guess I hope Showers stays but he could really thrive elsewhere. He's a great backup but he owes it to himself to start somewhere IMO

Showers is gone - graduating this Summer sometime, and will try to get playing time this Fall elsewhere. I think we keep Kenny Hill.
