Good idea or not? Just seems like it would hurt my heart (and possibly cause mental health issues!) but the position is something I'm qualified for and would be a step in the right direction for my career over the long run. Pay is solid as well relative to similar positions in the NCAA.

BTW, if there is much complaint, I have no issues with deleting this. Just wanted the opinion of some dawgs on the matter.

Sometimes you have to swallow your pride to get to where you really want to be.

I recently applied to UF for some post-college education.

Side note: Do you think they would consider a Dawg/Nole for the job? In my time at UGA I don't recall any UF faculty or staff... I'm sure there were some, I just don't remember any. Seems like the only thing that could be worse would be if I'd spent some time down at Miami as well... God knows they'll never hear a "Go Gators" out of me as a greeting.

I doubt it will disqualify you from a position.

Worth a shot, so why not take it.

Muschamp is working out pretty well down there. Use that as a selling point for UGA grads.

Your career fits into an entirely different category than your personal sports affiliation. If its a good move for you then do it. Who you pull for on Sat is just a hobby and shouldn't impact more important things....like eating...paying rent...etc.

I don't believe you.

SOmeone with a heart would not be considering this type of treason......... and clearly has mental health issues already.

Anyway, enjoy your new jorts.

Good luck and goodbye forever.......... scumbag.

It's business. They either want you for the job based on your merits or they don't. School graduate affiliation should not be a factor for either party. If it is, then it's not a place where you want to work.

There was at least one in the Sports Business area over in Ramsey about 4 years ago. He's probably still there.
