Watching the Fiesta Bowl tonight with 2 really good teams going at makes me realize how crappy the Sugar Bowl has become. IT SUCKS and I am pissed. That used to be one of the best bowls and now its one of the worst. Why? Because too often it matches up the runner up of the SEC with a non-qualifying conference leader. A loser conference winner versus a letdown from the best conference. WTF? That's a formula for disaster. Either we get an SEC team that needs viagra to get up for the game or we get an absolute beat down of a lesser team (see Florida vs Cincinnati 09'). We all need to get together and make enough noise so the idiots in charge come up with something better. After the top 4 teams square off in 14' we need #5 to play #6 and # 7 to play #8 and so on. And no, I am not for a playoff. If you can't get in the top 4 you don't deserve a shot at it. But we can match up better teams for the top bowl games.

The Michigan vs Virginia Tech game last year was pretty good and the Ohio State vs Arkansas game was awesome, but other than those two, I agree. They have sucked because a lame team always gets placed to go up against the SEC runnerup now that we have the SEC champ in the title game every year.

This is a true statement. What you should be aware of is that the Sugar Bowl Committee is made up mostly of Tulane grads. And we all know that Tulane doesn't know football!

While the Va.Tech/Mich. game may have been a good game on the field, it sucked as far as butts in the stadium. Va.Tech promised to come down in droves & did not even sell their allotment. But, as for the greenies running the SB, true story: the daughter of one of the big shots is married to a Va.Tech big shot, and she pushed hard to get Va.Tech an invite, over several more highly rated teams. The SB gets what it deserves.

WTF is this bullshite? The SB gets the MNC game once every 5 years.........Yep, pure crap.

Otherwise it gets the SEC champ, unless they are in the MNC and the SB is not hosting. I guess you would rather the SEC champs not be in the MNC game. Gtreat logic here.

Does Sid work for the Sugar Bowl?

UGA vs. Hawaii
Bama vs. Utah
Florida vs. Cincinnati
Michigan vs. Va Tech

The game is pure crap just like Stanford vs. Wisconsin this year. Fla St vs. NIU. The automatic tie ins require you to pass on better matchups and for what purpose? Revenue sharing? I don't understand why we have to water down the product just to "preserve the tradition".

I'd much rather have bowl games that pitted SEC vs. Pac 12 and Big 12. Than the same tired matchups of Big 10 and ACC.

Florida vs. Stanford, UGA vs. Oregon, etc.

It's crap not because it features the runner up but because it doesn't feature the runner up. It features the team who wasn't good enough to play in the SECCG.

the whining about this game is pathetic.

if you cant get into watching a game against a top 25 team from any conference you are a spoiled brat.
