Location definitely helps, but I'm glad to see that we sold a bunch of tickets!

Florida couldn't sell more than 7,000 to the Sugar Bowl, which isn't that far from them either.

10-11 hours vs 3-4 hours. Big difference man.

I'll be in Section 30. Whatever seat I want.

That stadium is going to be a drunken shitshow. God I hope we come out and play well.

Sugar bowl vs whatever the hell bowl we are playing in should be enough to make up the difference...

Google says it's less than 8 hours. That's well within driving distance. I agree that Birmingham is closer, but 4 hours away for a low tier bowl game and 8 hours away for a BCS game should about equal things out.

We went two years in a row to Dallas(about 8 hours). Sold a bit more than 7000, I would think

Depends on where people live at in Florida.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

can't believe this is the third straight year Pitt has been in this bowl, what a whip.

I know. How bad would that suck to go to the same bowl 3 straight years and its like 15 hours away

Look, I understand why State didn't have a lot of fans in Florida (The trip by tractor would take FOREVER!) but there is simply no excuse for Florida's fans not making the trip to the Sugar Bowl. Not only is it within driving distance for a good portion of your fanbase, but it is also in New Orleans which is a good time in and of itself.

and in Birmingham. Wouldn't be as bad if in a tourist spot, give fans multiple chances to go but Birmingham??

There are certainly better places, but I like Bham every now and then. It has some nice and fun spots. I have never actually hung out downtown though, just in the burbs...
