What explains the outcomes in the Gator, Chicken and Sugar Bowls?

ACC >> SEC
or
Dabo >> Les

Big East >> SEC
or
Charlie Strong >> Will Muschamp

Big 10 >> SEC
or
Pat Fitzgerald >> Dan Merlins

I believe all 3 of these guys got outcoached.

LSU and UF thought they would show up and win while the other teams wanted to prove a point against the Big Bad SEC.

MSU wasn't very good to begin with.

Lousiville really did look like just a better team. All phases.

Clemson and Louisville were better prepared and wanted to win more.

Mullen and Moo State just suck.

Yes they all got out coached. Florida just didn't care on top of being totally coached which resulted in a loss to a worse team. I thought clemson lsu was going to be very close and les miles cost them the game. Then MSU just isn't that great- the 9th best team in the conference behind the big six vandy and ole miss

Motivated teams with talented players outperformed unmotivated teams with talented players.

These are not the biggest upsets in CFB history. These are regular type outcomes.

I think so too. Neither team looked mentally ready to play, especially Florida. For whatever reason, it seems that they just weren't excited for the games and thought they could skate through it. But we need to remember that when teams from other conferences play an SEC team, it's their super bowl - even if the SEC team isn't inspired by the match-up.

I didn't watch the MSU game, so can't comment there.

Charlie Strong is an awesome coach. Les is Les. State needs to lay off the cupcakes so they don't get embarrassed.

Doesn't mean the other coaches are better, unless it happens repeatedly...You can't win them all.

I thought FLA went away from who they are and what they do. They are a smashmouth FB team. They come out and throw a pick six, run wide on 2nd and goal. They have played field position and great defense all year and in the Sugar Bowl they try 3 onside kicks.

I think Boom panicked and his defense could not get off the field. If you take away the 14 points they gave Louisville on the first play and onside kick (with penalties,) Fla is in that game to the end.
