Nope, not dirty and I said it was a bad call when it happened. Everyone did except those pulling against the SEC.

We've had to deal with the same crap after the Clowney hit.

No, but in today's game of football defensive players basically have to realize that "going high" and laying the wood on a QB will usually draw a flag. Refs are now "protecting" QBs and it is what it is.

The way Louisville treated Florida was just dirty and nasty in general. I guess I don't understand the question.

No. It was as clean a hit as Dial's hit on Murray.

In 2013, when you "lay the wood", you are supposed to hit QB's in their knees. Duh. Helmet to knee. do it.

It can go either way. From the refs standpoint behind I'm sure it looked dirty.

Unless they don't have spatial awareness after throwing a pick.

Florida got a 15 yard penalty for a sideline infraction.....no warning whatsoever

UF had 194 yards in penalties

According to the rules that have been being enforced this year....

1. he lead with this shoulder
2. He hit him high
3. intentional or not, there was helmet to helmet contact. (facemask counts)

While I do not agree with it, according to current rules and enforcement, this is a flaggable hit.

As to the title of the thread, is it a DIRTY hit?

Absolutely not. A dirty hit would denote an intent to hurt someone, which I do not see in this play. I see a defensive player laying the wood to a QB like players have been trained to do for 80 years.

Yes, but when hitting defenseless players, which they will consider the QB to be in that situation, the shoulder is on the no no list to lead with, which made absolutely no sense to me, but somehow they expect guys to hit with something else..... neck maybe?

Definitely dangerous, but not dirty.

Might be fined in the NFL.

They fine for shite that isnt even against the rules in the NFL. Goodell just does wtf he wants, which is one reason why I dont fricking watch pro football. He is the worst commissioner in the history of the NFL and I will rejoice the day he is assassinated or retires, which ever comes first.
