The real question is: "Could Florida be a contender in the Big East?"

After a month of preparation for a dysfunctional offense and a weak secondary... their performance was good tonight, but being able to win one big game with that much prep time doesn't necessarily translate to being able to get through the regular-season grind. It's a different skillset.

They clearly have the potential to hang with the best of 'em, though.

Louisville played fantastic against a team with much better players. Also Florida has had one of the best defenses all season.

No, the Cards could not win consistently in the SEC tight now, but if they were in the conditionerence and Strong was able to recruit some SEC-quality linemen, they could be a decent SEC team. And the basketball team would take names (Women's BB and baseball would hold their own as well.)
