Lets consolidate this here. Different sites are reporting that some staff changes will be made soon. If you think Mullen needs to go, you are welcome to your opinion but please put down the bottle and get out of my thread. Tyler Russell is arguably the best QB we have ever had, he had a rough day and we can all agree on that but he isn't the problem either. Teams know our plays before we run them, receivers are blanketed and when they are open it is conveniently on the wrong side of the field. This was an embarrassing game.

Now that the facts are out of the way, Koennig's play calling has been bland and shite for 4 years so I think it's safe to say he is gone. Who would you like to see brought in or promoted? What changes do you think are coming?

Coonass is tweeting about this being Koenning's last game. Least I think it is Coonass.

Tyler Russell had a rough day against Alabama, against A&M, against LSU, against Ole Miss, and against Northwestern.

He has a nasty habit of having "rough days" against teams worth a damn.

I say bring in a good young offensive upmand comer with some recruiting skills and make him and Brewster co coordinators.

No suggestions btw. Something needs to change. Koennig is just too predictable.

No, he had a bad game against NW, and as I said its largely a play calling issue...

His performances in the other games you mentioned weren't that bad in reality. He was the only reason we ever got a first down against Bama...

I think we need to keep Chris Wilson for Dline and recruiting and let Collins call the plays on D. I was impressed with our defensive play calling today.

Our D made enough plays to win, the Offense did not take advantage of them like NW did.

I agree. I think the defense looked great today, especially considering TR had 4 picks. That's like Brees throwing 4 or 5, it has happened but it isn't often and you can't expect to win when it does.

Im all for letting Collins call the defense.
I think if Tyler is qb next year, we need to run the I-form with Griffin and Robinson as rbs. And if its Dak, run the spread.

I really hope Griffin makes a strong come back, potentially one of the best backs in the SEC IMO and we didn't even start him. I wouldn't mind seeing a Brewster promotion..

I hear you, he is the best QB State has ever had. But State has never had a QB worth a shite so that's not saying a whole lot. Russell's ability to play in big games is zero. I now have absolutely no faith whatsoever in him leading this team in another game. Dak is the man now and the sooner the Bulldog family realize that the better. Les needs to go, Wilson needs to go. And this quit-arse mentality of our tema needs to go. I am watching a MAC team give FSU all they want right now and is sickening to me that State would probably be getting run off the field by NIU right now. Sherrill quit on this school 5 years before we realized it. Has Mullen now done the same? Sherrill used to say there was no need to even waste time preparing for schools like Bama and LSU because we would not win them. That was from Matt Wyatt's mouth on H2H. Has Mullen started doing the same? It's time for Stricklin to muzzle his arse and tell him he needs immediate staff changes and improved in conference performance of he can go punch his meal ticket on someone else's dime...

I realize you are in school and your cheap student tickets make us seem a little mean but when you start sending in hard earned money to support this team you deserve and expect the coaches to produce.

Given our schedule, I think statistics can lie.

Aside from his states, how can you justify Russell being our best quarterback? I know that's an unfair question, but sometimes you just have eyeball things.

I don't care how many records Russell breaks when we face Sunbelt teams. If he can't compete against other SEC schools and talented teams from other conferences, he's a poor quarterback.

I haven't gave money to support the team since they made me stand outside in the summer heat for 5 hours just to buy student football tickets :P

Tents for tickets was an absolutely abysmal idea.
