If he came out last year as a freshman, he would have gone #3 in the draft

As a sophomore this year, he would go #1 in the draft

And next year as a junior, obviously will go #1 in the draft

He is that freaking special and he's only 19.

Clowney is a fricking monster.

Next year he's only gonna get stronger, faster, and bigger.

Dude, just 1 game ago he had 4.5 sacks against the same team that just beat LSU.

He is a complete freak. 6'6" 260 and fast as hell. Imagine him in 2 years and about 275. He's a bigger faster better Jason Taylor

I wish we could have known what he would do in Alabama's defense. Jason Taylor won a NFL MVP in this same defense with Saban at Miami.

Clowney is going to play some offense next year... Spur is trying to ruin another one.

Very few prospects are known #1 overall draft picks midway through his sophomore year.

Clowney is exactly that, knock on wood...

If we had gotten Clowney, i seriously believe Saban would have fielded one of the best defenses ever this year. Probably as good as last year. Our problem this year is no pass rusher and this exposes the secondary somewhat. Add Clowney and you would have solved this and more.

I'm glad Clowney will be gone by the time A&M starts playing USCe. That man is a monster.

I bet Clowney wishes he could have known what he would do in Alabama's defense. But, 17 year olds don't always make wise decisions.

I compared him to Jason Taylor then. I was ridiculed for saying he fit perfectly in the 3-4. South Carolina has used him as a "Jack" in some of their defensive packages.

You've lined him up as a rush LB on a couple of occasions. In much the same manner as Jack LB is used in Alabama's 3-4 defense.

He was used as a stand up rusher this year, or at least Spurrier said he was going to.

In Bama's defense, that's a Jack...

At what point next year does Clowney come up with some kind of mysterious soreness like a high ankle sprain so he doesn't have to get ruined by Spurrier?

I think he starts "having problems" when UGA beats Carolina, or, if Carolina beats UGA, then when UGA beats Florida.

The only way I see Clowney playing hard all season is if Carolina is actually running the East. By mid-October, that's where my money is on when Clowney decides he's done being Spurrier's meat pony.
