Vanderbilt is the premier program in Tennessee now

Seriously, if you're a kid wanting to stay home and you can make the grades, why would you pick UT over Vandy? They are closer to winning an SEC title in the foreseeable future than the Vols.

I guess the same reason kids wanted to still pick Alabama over Auburn in the early to mid 2000's...

So does this mean the SEC can drop the permanent cross division opponent nonsense so that 12 other schools do not have fricked up schedules each year?
