They lose 8 on offense and 4 on defense. They may also lose Nix to early NFL entry. That would be 13 out of 22 starters and a "butt hurt" feeling from the NC game. I say they lose 5 games next year.

Who are the 8 on offense? I don't think that number is right. Also, ESPN ran an article that Nix is returning next year.

I think ND lists guys by academic year, not by eligibility. So several of those guys shown as SR have another year.

I wish more posters on here said this word more often. You just don't see it enough.

They will lose a minimum of 4 and possibly 6 next year.

Correct. On D, KLM, Te'o, and Motta are gone, but Fox will be back for a fifth year (also Nix already announced he's returning), so 3 starters lost on D.

On O, Martin and Watt are both probably coming back for a fifth year. Goodman's listed as a starter, but that's more of a technicality. I'd say ND really loses five starters of significant value (Riddick, Toma, Eifert [he also has a fifth year, but almost certainly will go pro], Golic, and Cave).

They will be top 5 preseason along with USC. Once the playoffs get here the SEC will win the Natty every year.
