No, Texas was kicking arse when they did, so they don't start their little time period then.

Texas went through a down period, so they start then.

Wanna guess when Texas' down period started?

At A&M or everywhere else? At A&M 17 year old boys typically like other 17 year old boys.

Family was allowed in the late 60s, but it wasn't til the mid 70s until they started showing up in large numbers.

Not sure what happened before that.

Well, all time;

Texas has won 76 times.

aggy has won 37 times.

The game has ended in a tie 5 times.

It isn't that hard to comprehend.

So Texas A&M was one of the shite programs that needed the playing field equalized.

And it did elevate them indeed. From The Citadel to a Mississippi State like program.

heres what i dont understand with that logic
people on the rant say our championships dont count because they happened in the 30s
that ole miss championships dont count cause they happened in the 60s
hell you even get people saying that georgias championship in the 80s doesnt count cause it happened such a long time ago......but then tu's wins against us in the 40, 50s, etc do?

40 years is such a puny, tiny time period.

In 1971 is when they were allowed full admissions. Not sure what significance of 1975 is.

No.
From the Citadel to a richer University than the rest of the SEC combined. The largest university in the country(undergrad).

National titles back then were certainly objectionable; what's happened on the field between two teams isn't.
For the record, A&M's 39 AP national title certainly does count, and I haven't heard or seen anyone saying that UGA's 80 national title shouldn't.

Arizona State, Central Florida, and Florida International should be powerhouses while Minnesota and Michigan State should have never fell off the map in terms of national relevance, because student population size matters.
