It was nice being able to wear shorts in December. I get back home in Auburn and it is in the mid-30s.

That is about the only positive thing I can currently say for the state though. Too big, too crowded, and for 90% of the year too hot.

I know you have work, but for me, I'd be fricked if I had the flu during school. And it's not so much that I couldn't access the material, but I can't study well when sick.

True. But I wouldn't dare chance it and possibly give someone else this business. When I get sick it knocks me on my arse. I guess because I don't get sick all that often being around the snot nosed heathens at work.

This probably isn't going to make you feel any better, but I've never had the flu. Only "major" illness I've ever really had was strep throat and it has been a while since I've had it (used to get it yearly when I was a kid though).

Ms. Mizzeaux is a germaphobe that avoids anything that could ever possibly get her sick and is a miserable wreck when she does get sick. It seems like she gets sick a lot and for longer durations than I do. Especially since we worked in the same place for a long time.

I've boiled it down to two things that keep me well and get me better quicker when I do get sick. It's either A.) Positive mentality or B.) Higher than average blood alcohol content.

Therefore me suggestions are to stay positive and drink hot toddies. If you don't get sick often, the immune system can handle its own, but sometimes it needs help.

Luckily I don't have to go back to work until the 7th so I'll be alright by the time I go back to work.

My mother was born and grew up in Louisiana so she loves the flat part, but I'm not a fan. I like hills, mountains, and trees. It just doesn't feel right having everything on the same level. I need some elevation change.

Haven't been to Galveston since I was little, but I can't say I've heard much positive about it.

I always like it when stories start like this.

And GWT, until today I'd never had the flu before either. Strep a few times but never the flu.

I like cool fall weather and I don't mind the cold when it first comes.

After a while I get tired of the cold and just wish it were warm again so I can wear shorts. Too much effort wearing pants and jackets. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Dammit...now I'm going catch it for the first time in a few weeks. I can feel it.

This is still shocking to me.

I got dragged to the titty bar as soon as I turned 18.

Yeah they tried to drag me when I turned 18 but I refused. I'm pretty reserved IRL. But last night was certainly interesting to say the least.

Certainly there was some fully nude hellhole you could have stumbled into at 18? What's the deal?
