We went a couple of years ago. Atlanta, Buckhead, is a good party spot. There will be plenty going-on.

Plus you can go to the Aquarium, to the Coke-a-cola museum, etc.

The aquarium is a huge waste of $$$

Take them to the Botanical gardens. They have a pretty cool lights display and is good for the family.

Thought about it . . . and there is a reason I moved out of Atlanta years ago - I used to get in traffic jams at 10:00 at night - crazy. So, on the way the way to the gulf coast for a few days.

There's another nice petting zoo south of the city called the Pink Pony.

Since you lived there, I'm sure you know all of this, but if your child likes history/science, the Fernbank is always pretty interesting. There is a puppet museum downtown that I've heard can be pretty fun.

They spent a shite ton of money on making it nice and state of the art, and not so much on actually putting a lot of exhibits in it. The whale sharks and belugas are cool, but otherwise it just doesn't have that much. You can see/do everything in like an hour.

The whale sharks and beluga whales are the ONLY cool thing there. I liked the river exhibit but only because im a redneck.
