I really think Texas wins that game with McCoy. Am I going a little overboard, yes.

But in my honest opinion, I think Texas wins that game by 7-10 with Colt all 4 quarters. And that is just my opinion, and it doesn't really matter since you can always say what if.

I do think Texas's rushing D performed pretty well in that game.

....but its a moot point since colt was too soft to play 4Qtrs against our defense.

Dareus put a good clean shot on colt and made his arse quit. Texas tried to play finesse and we played smash mouth football.

Hypothetical arguments and speculation cant change history.

If Barrett Jones cant play, how much do yall think it will effect the outcome of the game?

Bama will still win going away. Jones has been abused at times this year anyway. A&M threw him around like a rag doll

If Barrett Jones, Trent Richardson, Barron, and Upshaw were all healthy for the 2010 Iron Bowl, Auburn loses and never wins a national title. Barrett didn't even play.

THIS.

In college, sacks are counted against your rush yards...so bama's rush game looked worse than it actually was. FAct is, Ingram and TR gashed Texas' #1 ranked rush defense all night.

It doesn't matter who should have won the Bama-Texas game, all that matters is the Tide did win the game.

So, when ND gives up 200+ rushing yards to Bama on Jan. 7, are you going to say the ND rush D played pretty well in the Game?

Bama was a really beat up team by the time the AU game came around in 2010. They were healthy by the Michigan St. game.

reminds me of all the talk about the Texas rushing defense in 2009. Texas was ranked #1 against the run in 2009 and Bama ran for over 200 yards against them in the BCS NCG.

Get this fricking shite out here. The Texas defense was on the field the whole first half due to a backup QB going 3 and out. Their defense was gassed when TR broke that long run. What a terrible example.

If the Texas defense was so tired, why were they able to keep the Bama offense in check for most of the second half?

because Texas was able to move the ball in the 2nd half. The defense couldn't get a breather in the first half after Colt went out.

Not buying it. Here's the Longhorns drive chart for the second half of that game.

15:00 3 03:03 TEX 27 9 28 Punt
10:04 3 01:55 TEX 34 6 10 Punt
06:19 3 00:45 TEX 47 3 0 Punt
03:15 3 01:44 TEX 41 5 59 Passing Touchdown
01:31 3 00:47 TEX 42 3 -1
00:00 0 00:52 ALA 0 3 -1 Punt
11:13 4 04:58 TEX 34 10 65
03:14 4 00:12 TEX 7 1 -4 Fumble
02:01 4 00:13 TEX 20 2 0 Interception
00:47 4 00:21 TEX 25 2 18 Interception

Eight of Texas' ten drives lasted less than two minutes and the two drives that didn't took 3:03 and 4:58. And the Texas defense only stayed on the field for two minutes longer than they did in the first half. Sorry, fatigue wasn't a factor.

They still would have played the same opponent in the SECCG and gone to the national championship against the same team regardless of the outcome of that game.

We will have to take what the Notre Dame defense is giving us. I anticipate ND to be very stubborn in stopping our run game and loading the line of scrimmage. AJ will have to back them up and Cooper should have a good night if ND tried to man up on him.

no way...Auburn would have dropped in the polls so fast.

If you think Brian Kelly is a retard, then I see how you could think this will happen. But he's not. He has watched Bama throw the ball all year.

Yes because that 9 yards of offense Colt accounted for until he got blasted was so significant
