I'm not a fan of the frankenstein stadium idea for Kyle. The Rag

I mean... Using the Zone was a forgone conclusion, imo, and using the shell for the student section isn't that big of a deal. I figured that was what was going to happen. I mean I have no idea what the final thing will look like, but I can't imagine it will be too bad. Blue Bell was sort of Frankensteinish wasn't it? That turned out okay.

It just sounds like the student side will be left with 2 giant floating decks.

It's going to look fantastic. The only reason the main part of the Top 2 Decks of the Student Section are staying in place is because if they were torn down they would have to go from 18" Seats to 24" because of code. Considering those are all student seats where no one sits that would be foolish, it would basically just be taking out thousands of seats for no reason. They will dress it up and they will completely change the bathrooms and other facilities and their will be an outside facade around the entirety of Kyle in brick and glass.
The important part of the East Side to fix is the 1st Deck, that's where the infrastructure comes from that is currently 90 years old. It's hard to describe but the stadium will look uniform and gorgeous.

I have no doubt it will be fantastic. It isn't like we are in a position to half arse shite at the moment.

The only thing I care about the Outside is a bunch of ugly corporate signs dangling everywhere. The big part is no obstructed view seats and a good looking stadium from the field and sky. Then I'm sure the design will incorporate sound propagation towards the field.

There needs to be a giant maroon 12 on the east stands to signify the 12th Man. You can see it from the sky when it is empty.

kind of how they used to have Texas Aggies written in the old horseshoe endzone?

It's going to be a hell of a lot nicer than that. A lot of the emphasis is on making it look beautiful from the outside. Elimination of bad seats and luxury seating are also huge priorities.

I think I might be the only Aggie who doesn't mind corporate sponsorships or signs if they help pay the bills.
It's a shame Tom Turbiville retired before getting the chance to do live remotes from all the little plazas and entryways that will be named for our crappy local sponsors. "Live from the Slovacek Sausage Sidewalk on Joe Rout Boulevard!"

An aerial view, the stadium needs to have some sort of identifying mark. If Kyle Field is the Home of the 12th Man this seems just as good of an idea as any.

I couldn't agree more. Since the USSR never pulled off the Palace of the Soviets, I am for placing it just south of the stadium. Only, we would replace Lenin on top with a yell leader.
