Ole Miss hasn't beat MSU in Starkville in 10 years.
6-6
This isn't the 1940's and you already have your win against AU this decade.

State won't have a great year in 2013 I'm afraid
Posted on 12/27/12 at 1:57 pm to sorantable
MSU & Ole Miss will have about the same record
6-6 or 7-5
6-6 or 7-5

One difference:
Ole Miss will be 7-5 if everything falls apart.
State will be 7-5 if everything comes together.

State is going to win 4 games, MAYBE 5
And that's a big maybe because it hinges on what Gus does this year

I think we all saw how good state was this year when they were dominated by every single SEC team with a winning record. Yet, somehow State fans expect no drop-off next year with a more difficult schedule and the loss of your best players on Defense. (A Defense that was absolutely shredded by the good teams you played) Newsflash this years Egg bowl was no fluke. To add to that, Freeze is out-recruiting Mullen big time. Ole Miss is being looked at by some of the top players in the nation while State is struggling to split the in-state talent. You think you are going to compete with us in the future when Ole Miss/ Oxford can out-do anything your redneck school and shite hole town can offer. (Your go-to bar is lamer than Oxford's worst bar). I can not wait to bathe in Bundy's tears for years to come while Coonass seeks consolation in his girlfriend's monster clit. Boom Roasted.

I don't know what State returns, but Auburn is sure to be better than they were this season, and since it is at Aubie I'm gonna say Auburn in OT, so a loss for State.

6-8 wins in the regular season.
This year was an anomaly with how poorly our defense played--2nd worst MSU defense overall since 2003. It won't happen again next year. People are sleeping on the talent that we redshirted last year on the defensive side, along with the bluechip DL guys that couldn't get their heads out of their asses this year. Granted it looks like the coaches made a shitty choice in handling all that in hindsight.
People are overlooking that we return our entire 2-deep on the OL -- all 4 running backs -- both QBs -- what will be one of the best tight ends in the country if he can stay healthy. We replace Bump with a guy just as talented(Corey Smith), Chris Smith with a guy just like him(Jeremey Chappelle), etc...
We return 18 of our top 20 players in the trenches.
If you trust star rankings, every single player we are losing is being replaced by a better player. We are still going to make a decent splash in recruiting as well -- provided we can get a damn CB coach in here quickly.
