The Rebels’ athletics ticket office distributed 23,381 for its matchup with Pitt in the BBVA Compass Bowl Jan. 5 in Birmingham. That number, which is believed to be tops in the NCAA, does not include the many Ole Miss fans that purchased tickets through the bowl and other ticket agencies.
The Rebels are making their 34th all-time bowl appearance, which is tied for 19th in college football history. Ole Miss boasts a 21-12 record in bowls, with the 21 wins 13th-most all-time.

Compass Bowl officials are loving every bit of life right now. But yeah, I'm sure Ole Miss would have taken just as much to Nashville.

I bet the Orange Bowl would even be happy if they could at least get the Ole Miss band to play at halftime of their northern Illinois fsu game.

Great news and props to them. Represent the SEC well. More money for all schools.

I think they were 55? But I agree. Still impressive though.
