Christmas night - 26th
It's gonna be a cold bitch for days after the storm, if this hold up. Amazingly this far out all the major models agree on a monster snow storm over Arkansas and Oklahoma next Tuesday-Wednesday painting anywhere from 1-2 feet across the area.

I hope so.
I remember skimming the farmers almanac and it had 1 superstorm all winter and the rest of winter had nothing.
So this would line up.
I drive a sports car and can go nowhere in 2 inches of snow, and have an uphill driveway making it further impossible to even pull out of my driveway.
I do love snow though, me and my pup play in our annual "snow bowl" if we get enough snow. That sumbitch can tackle.

shite. Bring it on. Will have to clean out the generator's carb this weekend. Got the Bronco ready to roll, will need to get some more long johns and plenty of fuel and oil for the chainsaws.
May need to find somewhere that carries chains for 35" mud tires. I've slacked on getting new tires, keep telling myself they'll last a little longer, but good tires with deep tread is a must for getting around in bad winter weather.

Yeah I plan on buying a Wrangler or Bronc type here soon for the winters.

Bronco!!!! I've got a '79, you can get em for a lot less than jeeps and they're not chick cars. Parts are plentiful and they're easy to work on.
You give up some of the luxuries of modern cars with the older models but for a trail rig, lake cruiser, back roader, and hiking/kayak hauler I couldn't want anything any more fun. The top on the Bronco is a lot easier to get off than the steel top on the '74 Scout I had before it. Classics are never uncool.

Our weather guy here said these are based off the US weather models which have been extremely unreliable this year. These same models predicted Hurricane Sandy to hit Florida and go into the Gulf of Mexico...
I guess we'll see...

It's just one model, plus Arkansas snow is incredibly hard to predict. When one model says we could get a foot, we may get a dusting to an inch.
But hey if we get a foot I'm cool with that, I love the snow and I can walk to work.
