quote:Actually one little creek has produced those numbers. There are a few more that I can catch 10 or 15. Those feeder creeks are in a 100-200 yard stretch. Boats just fly past those little feeder creeks. My rod goes low with a fish on when I see a boat coming.
Numbers of said honey hole or I will sink your skiff.
Incoming and outgoing water on those 6-7 foot tides.

Rattle seems to be a good sport. The others are kind of chitty.

Florida redfish >>>>>> Georgia red back spotted tail yankee fish (or whatever they're called). Love how we're talking about fishing now
But, we all know that Florida has some of the best overall saltwater fishing.

That's a nice fish. I do know that you have a better chance of catching bigger Reds in Florida. I am an Inshore Fisherman. But they do catch some bigger Reds further out.
A Redfish will let you know fast that he is hooked.

Catching some Louisiana bulls is on my bucket list, fwiw. You might have some just as big in Florida/Georgia, but they have the numbers in LA.

BTW. You can keep 25 Speckled Trout in Louisiana.

Damn! That's one thing that really sucks about Florida fishing.....they have really cracked down on what you can keep down here. We didn't even have a snook season over on the Gulf this year....

True, but the cold winter last year is what really put a hurtin on the Snook on the west coast. I do agree though, far too many folks fishing the waters down here.....

Snook, I hear they are good to eat. Are they better than the Reds and Trout?
Posted on 12/18/12 at 3:51 pm to RattletrapDawg
Snook is very good but I won't keep them.

What I get so far is Roadgator is a Yankee, but an ok feller. I am thinking he is a regular jean short wearer and not an acid wash or cut off one.
... And again, if you speak to anyone from Florida pre Yankee invasion, you will know that Redfish was a term coinded in the 70s by Florida Sportsman Mag to make it more appealing... these are the same motherfrickers who call dolphin Mahi mahi, but I digress.... some say they stole it from the Cajuns... if you went to the 1st of the 4th generation Floridian and asked, they may well remember that they called them Channel Bass and did so for many years. Snook were called Soap fish and were used as fertilzer until they got wise to taking the skin off them and finding out they were some of the best fish out there other than Pompano.
Speaking of them and Yankees... the Cajuns started the blackened "Redfish" craze in the 70s and then when the Coonases wore out their stocks, they came to Florida and every school of breeder Channel Bass were targeted by plane and purse sienes and they got a shitpile of them and shipped them to the Yankees up North for "Blackened Redfish"... let's remember that these fish are not that good to eat and are worse when they are big, but they would ship em all and they would not even cut the bloodlines out of them... and the stupid fricking Yankees would drool all over burnt and overspiced fish with a big arse bloodline in it....
then they were gone and now they are finally back down there...
Beyond that, you may not want to get into a big dick contest with me about catching salt water fish... I just wanted to see if you called it by the Yankee name...

Seriously? There are people that think Richt has more job security than Muschamp?
Good for the SEC west! Keep Richt around for 10 more years please.
