First, let me be clear about something:

I hate you, Bama. I hate your sense of entitlement and unfathomable arrogance with every cell in my body.

Now that that's out of the way....please beat the living shite out of ND. It will be astronomically bad, in my mind, if ND wins this game. After all, they are as proudly entitled as you. And the media!!! Ha. Can you imagine watching sports news during the offseason and all through next year as we follow, week by week, the 'defending nat'l champs' run at another one?

Frick you, Alabama.

with love,

MBTFE
'merica

edited for slightly better grammar. the noun/adjective relationship caused a bit of a non sequitur

You act like this wouldn't happen if bama wins.

ND will be like Boise St. was a few years ago. The media is all over them now but next year they will shut up because Bama will expose.

Awesome thread.

I wouldn't care if you pulled against us, but I like the way you think. People don't realize how bad the world can be with Notre Dame on top. At least Bama, though arrogant and hyped, is a very good team. ND gets the same insane hype yet would likely finish 6th in the SEC (if not 7th). It's unbearable.

Some of you are too young to remember what it was like to hear about Notre Dame and the Big Ten until you wanted to vomit in your on mouth and choke on it. Alabama's hype is like Southern Cal's a few years ago - undeserved and very annoying, but at least it's a good team.

What you're not considering is how bad Whinefest 2013 will be after ND loses.

Cool story. The media loves both teams. I can't imagine what the ads for the title game are going to be like that are about to start running.

With that said, I hope ND beats the hell out of alabammer

If it's a thrashing like I think it should be, the whining won't matter.

I'll equate that to JJ Reddick's tears

Maybe, but we've heard this the last 5 years about bama.

I don't fault any of you for being tired of the Bama hype. When professional sports media say that Alabama could beat a pro team and really mean it, it is out of control.

But you just have to take my word - it was worse growing up in the era of ND/tOSU/Michigan playing abso*fricking*lutely NOBODY else, and one of them would be #1 every year, and play a weak Rose Bowl opponent.

This.

frick ND. I've hated them since I've been watching college football in the late 80's. I was glad when LSU kicked their arse in 06-07 and sent their program to the cellar.

I understand what you're saying and I believe you. But if I get tired of hearing all offseason how "Notre Dame is BACK" and how hyped they'll be for next year, I can just change the channel on the TV. I live in alabama and know many bama fans, and see them and interact with them on a daily basis. I can't just change the channel then.

Also, I would rather hear "notre dame is back" than "bama's won 3 of 4 national titles. Can anyone stop bama? Is saban the greatest ever?"

Plus, UGA doesn't recruit against notre dame. We recruit VERY heavily against bama. Malcolm Mitchell, Xavier Dickson, Jay Rome, Crowell, Jordan Jenkins, etc. just from LAST year came down to UGA and bama. There are 5 or 6 more battles this year coming down to the 2 of us. Bama winning is detrimental to UGA. Notre dame isn't.

It's not even about that for me. I don't care about the media.

It's your fricking fans. I can't stand 85% of Alabama fans. I seem to get along great with every other fanbase, but when I'm around the arrogance and obnoxious demeanor of your fans it makes it damn near impossible to cheer for you in any game.

Just look at some of the diarrhea on this page. This shite is how they really live and talk. It's not internet persona exclusive.

Hell, if you hate both teams, at least pull for the team in your conference/region. It may well help your team's chances for higher rankings and bowls in the future...just makes sense.
