Maybe he is just ready to graduate and move on to his life? He completed a lot during his time at Auburn and probably is ready for the next stage in his life with his new family.
Considering he is not a traditional 22 starter of O and D and we have quality backups, I just don't see how this is ridiculous to people. The guy has 3 bowl wins, one bcs nc win, earned a varsity letter as a starter on ST. What is he going to accomplish this year that will be worth sticking around just to stick around? He already will have his degree completed and no real acheivements to accomplish on the field.
Also, this isn't even for sure. Just something that has been brough up

Eta: and what you posted isn't even being reported officially anywhere. All that's been mentioned is that he wants to early enroll and UT can give it to him for sure while AU isn't willing (according to Lemond)
