I don't have a clue about recruiting or how it works. I generally don't follow it too much, as I prefer to pay attention to the kids who contribute on Saturdays. Too much jimmy rustling over 18 year old kids and their college choices for my taste. It's fun to talk shite on NSD, but that's about where it ends for me. Just me though, as I know there are a lot of people who love it, and big money made by Newberg and Co. covering it.

I just hope we get the right guys in the right places. I followed the stars for a while. I've been trying not to care about that for a bit.

Westerman is supposedly not 100% committed to leaving for ASU. Some people are saying the staff is trying to get him to stay at least for the spring and give it anothe shot and the transfer isn't finished yet. TIFWIW

I don't believe so.

We needed some attrition to sign the full 25 this year. This is assuming no JRs enter the draft.

I've read that Cry Baby Cam and Blake Burgess are almost for sure leaving which with Westerman brings us to 23

Our current longsnapper on scholarship Lembke is getting married in the spring or there about and not sure if he is returning (or if we give his scholly to another LS)

D McNeil has talked around the lockerroom about potentially giong pro (I know wtf) and along with Cory that would give us a full 25 scholarships

I guess he is getting out before his arse gets glued to the bench.

So we'd need to lose 6 more players.

We could make that happen.

That actually surprises me.

What does getting married have to do with anything? Is he still in school?

Blake Burgess

Supposedly his dad was on the radio the other day making a comment about how he is ready to graduate. TIFWIW

He has the opportunity to graduate on time and spend time with his new wife or sticking in college and not seeing her because he is swamped with football obligations.

That is a big decision

Meh - he's barely seen the field at all, can't blame him.

Plus, Punk Rock Hamlet >>> backup fullback or whatever he is now

I meant legit as in there is legitimate cause for him to be on the list of underperformers

No its not. THere are plenty of married men that play cfb.

If that is the only reason, I would not include him in the potential to leave.

Are we really arguing about Jake Lembke getting married?

He for sure is getting married (they were engaged when I last talked to a couple friends on ST with him)

I also know that he has talked about whether or not he wanted to come back or not and he has been ont he fence and preparing for graduation. Not a final decision as of about a month ago though.

I know guys that are close with him and they have both made the point that he is a candidate for graduating and giving up his scholarship (and who knows what Malzahn is going to push him considering he may need the scholly)
