they aren't coming back they would be stupid to. both are projected as 1st round picks. I like A&M but you guys are way over zealous with the immediate future. you will battle for the west every year but get real. you don't have the depth yet

Recruiting rankings don't mean jack once toe hits leather in the sec. Those all star hs players have to produce. The shuffling on the ol will hurt even if its slight and nothing (and i mean nothing) can happen to manziel.

And i guarantee tamu will miss their 3 senior wrs. Especially swope and uzoma.

That being said, if they beat bama at home and dont drop another game to anyone other than lsu they got it in the bag cause lsu will lose 2 with that schedule.

Can? Yes.
Will? No idea
Three factors that are huge:
How many of our first round picks go to the draft?
How will we fill our front 7 spots on D?
Will our WR be as reliable without Swope or EZ?

But I am as excited as hell to find out.

Have read a lot of posts in this thread that I could respond to but, decided to wait.

Well I couldn't wait anymore.

"downward trend is obvious and has just started. All the indicators are there".

Could you please elaborate on this statement?

Of the 20 offensive players LSU used VS A&M only four were SRs.

On the defensive side VS aggies none of the eight DBs that played were SRs. Not a single SR among the four or five LBs that played "D". D-line only had three SRs, all three played VS aggies, none were a regular starter though.

All that young talent on "D" for the tigers and johnny football went 54 minutes between TDs. Go figure.

Were not losing both OT's just so you know. We will most likely lose 1. Our DE Moore should come back as well.

Idk why you guys say this when from what I've seen Trey Williams was the 3rd string guy this year.

Why not expect it to be Malena-T.Williams?
brandon had to sit out this year per NCAA transfer rules. he will most likely be our #2 back next year behind malena

If Luke Joekel and/or Jake Matthews goes NFL. I wish them the best of luck. They have earned a first round pick because they are dominate OL.

With that said, it is not for certain yet who goes and who comes back. AND we have more depth on the Oline then some of you understand. There is more unknowns at other positions than that, just for arguments sake.

And A&M has the potential to win the west next year, but that is why the game is played!

Sir do not accuse me of trolling. It is a legit question. I believe that they could possibly win the National Championship next year. I just wanted to see other peoples opinions.

I think it's going to be a horse race between Bama, LSU and the Ags. I can see each team with a loss to one or the other. I think the Ags have the easiest road. I also think the spread help OL.

Regardless, even if OL loses a tackle or two, better RB, better WRs, best QB in the country.

I think the defense improves.

I'm pretty excited. Should be preseason 7-12.

I think you lose both tackles, I think Matthew is rated like a top 3 tackle coming off the board they rarely stay. Also you lose your center. so 3/5th your oline

Swope, Nwachukwu, and McNeal can't help the offense.
Christine Michael Is gone too.

Defensively you lose Moore (huge loss), Nealy, 2 linebackers, a cb, and a safety.

Predictions at this point are serious guesses but A&M has as good a shot as anyone.

The likelihood of A&M's offense going backward is VERY unlikely though. Manziel only improved as the year went on and a full offseason to master the offense will take him to a new level. The RB's will be better. Even though we lose some WR's the replacements are all higher rated and the Air Raid makes any WR with speed look great. If RSJ goes to A&M as expected watch out, he is a faster version of Mike Evans. Absolute freak. The demise of the OLine is also comical. Maybe Joekel goes pro, very unlikely for Matthews. A&M has solid depth behind them though and A&M's style of O helps a Line.

The concern is defense. A&M is losing a lot of talent there and will have to rely on a lot of young guys to replace them. Those young guys are highly rated but inexperienced. That's the concern.

Still the schedule looms large. A&M and Bama both have a cake schedule next year with easy draws from the East. A&M trades UF for Vandy at home and travels to Mizzou. A&M also gets Bama at Kyle this year. If they win that game they are in the catbird seat.

What about LSU though? LSU is certainly capable but they are getting screwed hard by the schedule. They play at Bama. Then they drew UF AND UGA from the East. This is all before they get A&M at BR. If they lose 2 of those 3 (which is very possible) the game with A&M won't really matter in all likelihood. If A&M beats Bama they have the tie breaker unless they lose 2. LSU has reason to be angry about the schedule but that's irrelevant, they have to run the gauntlet.

That doesn't mean A&M wins the West but they have a real shot. They have the best player in the SEC and he is the QB and that alone makes them very dangerous.
