Not trying to take anything away from the kid but to expect a similar season as the one he had is a lot to ask. If he does not have the protection next year that he had this year it won't be as good of a season for y'all. And btw Saban couldn't have gone thru all the tape. You give Saban a lot of time to prepare and he will kick your arse. (Just ask LSU in the natty game)

The A&M/Bama game will decide it. The winner of that game willhave no more than one SEC loss due to the ease of both schedules.

LSU plays @Bama, @Georgia, A&M and Florida next year. They could be the best team in the west next year and still finish third.

LSU should be better than they were this year.

Texas A&M's schedule lines up for them next year. They are likely to be the favorites to win the National Championship.

The chances of LSU winning all of @Bama, @UGA, UF and TAMU are pretty slim. We will probably lose 2 of those honestly.

The only way we can go undefeated is if A) we hire a real OC; or B) Mett breaks out and dominates

Sure. I would think A&M, LSU and UA will be favorites from west...UGA/UF/SCar from East next year.

i agree that if he doesnt have the same protection he wont have the same year. hence why i capitalized IF when talking about matthews and joeckel coming back next year. but the easiness of our schedule helps out a lot. even if we dont bring all 3 1st rounders back, i still think we can shoot for 10 wins just because how easy our schedule is

but people also seem to fail to recognize how slow we went this year. next year, manziel will have a better understanding of the offense and he wont have to look to the sideline for every single play. that will improve our speed and make us go that much faster

Mett is comfortable. D was young this year. We lost 7 DB's from last year and lost only two games. Sleep on your team. I won't.

Also, losing Swope will hurt more than people think. JM relied on him in basically every clutch play. Dude is money. That kind of chemistry can't just be replicated with a new WR.

This will happen every year with Sumlin's offense with a new guy each time. Get used to it.

He did seem to get better as season went on. It's easy to forget he was only a freshman.

Assuming you're a TR favorite let's start with 2004 record after which CLM took over
2004 9-3
2005 11-2 improved
2006 11-2 damn 11 win season
2007 12-2 improved
2008 8-5 oops, you might have a basis for your cheery outlook
2009 9-4 improved
2010 11-2 improved
2011 13-1 improved
2012 10-3/11-2 utter failure

This about right?

1. A&M loses that monster O-line that they had this year. So to see how effective Johnny football will be has to wait until September

Everytime someone can. With a crap o line, Richardson and Ingram looked average. Jff will make some plays, but you'll lose a couple. The west was down this year will auburn and arky sucking so bad.

Better question guys, will LSU ever win a MNC again?

They only won one because they had Saban's players. They were lucky to get to go with two losses. Les Miles has a reputation to play down to bad teams. This will be a problem when he loses now that the west is so dominate.
