I watched it with my 12 year old and that was a very good father/son hour. My son now knows the greatness of one of if not the best athlete in the history of sports. Loved all the stories of his childhood, the batting cage falling on them, the apple throwing. And I always remembered him being humble with all the attention and fame. You think the Bama coach that told him he wouldn't play until his sophomore or junior seasons regrets that visit? Great show

The show definitely didn't do anything to quell all the legends I heard from people growing up in central Alabama.

Awesome show. I will definitely re-watch.

The dude was a monster! Without a doubt the best athlete ever. He sure did hate Tampa Bay. I can't say that I blame him after what they did to him.

IMO Bo would have ended his career on MLB hof if he had not played football. Dude was a great player. He just needed a little more time.

Seeing him break that bat over his head still blows my mind.

That was the stated goal of the director. Introduce a generation that didn't see Bo to one of if not the greatest pure athlete ever.

Bo was an absolute beast. Great 30/30. Always been a fan of Bo Jackson but even more so now.

Once in a lifetime athlete. Auburn and Auburn fans were very lucky to have witnessed that firsthand.

No doubt about it. He could've ended up in the Baseball or Football HOF had he stuck to just one but then he wouldn't have been the guy we've grown to love for versatility and flat out athleticism.

Switching between the two sports put Bo "over the top".

I'm one of the new age AU fans that doesn't have the inferiorty complexes that so many older AU fans do, but it was an aewesome segment at the beginning to show what this rivalry is history wise.

I watched it with my son as well, he was truly an amazing athelete! I had the good fortune to be at Auburn at the time he was there. Watching him blaze down the first base line to beat out a routine grounder was a sight to see!

I wonder why he decided to stay in Chicago, and not move back to Alabama? He is liked and respected by both Auburn and Alabama fans. I had heard that he started a company that deals with supplements in North Alabama. He mention that he doesn't watch pro sports. Appears he loves hunting, he is at every Auburn football game.

It was good. He was amazing.

I honestly wanted to start a thread discussing Bo and Herschel. But thought better of it since it would boil down to Auburn and Georgia fans screaming for their guy.

There is an argument about who is the better RB...there is no argument about who is the better athlete.

Loved the part when he said all he wants his tombstone to say is "Here lies a ball player"

My friends and I were to young to remember him at auburn, but he was the shite in the pros when we were playing mini-midget football. Everyone wanted #34 but me, I always wanted #56 for Lawrence Taylor. But definitely respected Bo.

That bit about tecmo bowl was so true, it made him bigger than life to kids playing him on Nintendo.

Correct, and a damn good one. Saw both of them live when I was a kid. All I can say is WOW!

A small one, but it would probably end pretty quickly. Gotta remember Herschel could do just about anything he wanted. Hell, Herschel fought a MMA fight recently.

But I think you are basically correct, not much of an argument. All you have to say is an all star in two major sports. Really all you have to say is - 4.12 - and then walk away.
