If Alabama is undefeated, they are in, regardless of the schedule. Alabama will probably be preseason #1 next year and if they go unbeaten the ranking won't change, especially with winning the SEC. It may come off as arrogant, but a team in "dynasty" mode only has to win and doesn't get penalized (No pun intended ) for shite as far as scheduling is concerned.

Yea I never put into context with last year. I can't wait for the playoffs.

This eyeball test shite is starting to become more about the name on the jersey. LSU has directly benefitted from it too, I realize that.

But that's why NCAA basketball is so bad arse. You can be #1 all year but you're frickin' 0-0 come tourney time.

It's awesome.

Who do you expect to be strong contributors from this 2013 class instantly next season as true fresh on the defensive side of the ball?

Justin Manning from Dallas Kimball, recent '13 commit and I think the main reason scout.com now shows our '13 class as #2 behind Michigan (I know that will change before Feb., but I don't ever remember being #2).

Also Isaiah Golden from Carthage. There are several other commits but I'd expect these two to start.

Ohio States schedule next year is terrible. Nebraska and MSU get traded for NW and Iowa. And our OOC matchups suck.

Eta: just realized this was already onto page 5. All of the above may have already been stated.

Possible but why not wait and see if the schedule really is weak once teams play next year?

Very good point. A lot of Bama fans saw this year's schedule, coupled with a younger defense, and presumed a couple of losses.

Then Michigan wasn't quite what they were last year (10+ wins, BCS bowl win)
Then Arkansas wasn't quite what they were last year (10+ wins, Cotton Bowl win)
Then Auburn... (8 wins)
Then Missouri... (8 wins)

Four teams that were ranging from good to very good in 2011 just fell flat this year. Alabama's schedule looked brutal (and very rough from the start as we had two preseason top 10 team in the first three games), and now, while not "easy", certainly not as hard as it would have been if those schools had matched their 2011 successes.

So... basically, I agree with nc14. Hard to tell just how hard a schedule will REALLY be.
