We would have played and beaten LSU, Texas A&M, and probably Florida. V-Tech COULD win the ACC (doubt it) and no way Auburn, UT, and UK get worse next season. If we were left out it'd be a travesty, but the media voters wouldn't keep us out no matter what.

Possible but why not wait and see if the schedule really is weak once teams play next year?

Yes, there is no way AJ leaves, why don't people understand that?

Yeah, we have a bye week (I think) before we play A&M, and we won't be fresh off of a game with LSU. Plus he likely won't have Luke and Jake back.

Yeah, next year he'll be one of the top three QBs, I don't see how anyone is gonna deny that. He's only going to get better, especially with another season under Nuss.

A weak SEC schedule is still tougher than a Pac-12/B1G/ACC schedule

Does this also assume that Alabama starts the season ranked number one?

If Joeckel, Matthews and Moore return, Texas A&M will start the season ranked #1.

Typically I'd say yea. But UK and UT would be bottom of the barrel in virtually any BCS conference.

I think wins over aTm, LSU and SECCG would be enough. But 1 loss would frick ya.

Oh and to the other posters: I said "let's assume"

Stop telling me to wait on the season to start. Read the friggin OP.

He's not going to get better. He has peaked. What ails him is what ails Landry Jones. They are almost identical QBs in my mind.

UT could be improved, who knows. VTech may turn out to be a solid team.

No way Arky and Auburn are as terrible as last year.

Miss State will be decent
Ole Miss will continue to be improved and will also be decent

A&M and LSU will probably be elite

Plus UGA/SCar/UF in the SECCG.

It will be a solid schedule.

Maybe, maybe not. The same is true for any team in the country. If there are two other undefeateds, one less would frick LSU also.

Besides, you said

Because you watch him play all the time and you can tell that he has peaked. Ok. Glad to know.

Tell me more about how Sean Porter > CJ Mosley

Doubt it. You must not know how a preseason schedule works. Bama will return almost everyone that matters and will likely be coming off of their third national title in four years, AND probably will add the top recruiting class.

Somewhat related: I'm watching Army/Navy and CBS had a viewer poll: "If Ohio State was bowl-eligible, who would be left out of the BCS championship game?" (Among Alabama, ND, and OSU). 70% responded Alabama. Apparently some folks outside the SEC don't like the SEC. Who knew?

You obviously don't know how Johnny Football and the best offensive line in the country would work. Not to mention, Alabama loses the "best" center in the country, right?

*Best offensive line in the country this year, and my original statement was predicated on returning our two tackles.
