I think he is a good hire and UT must have patience.....but of course the Vols have a history of overhyping their team. Im sure they will be telling this board in Sept how they are gonna beat UF etc etc...and after two losses the Volsters are rare sights on the board...licking their wounds.

Please try to restrain yourselves from expecting too much too soon. And dont expect a qb and a wr to win the east....better be starchy on defense. I do think Jones is probably the kind of organized person with strict goals and a plan to win. Poor Dooley just seemed overwhelmed at times and just didnt strike many as a very organized person who be a task master that would get his team to over acheive. But Dooley walked into a real mess not caused by him.

IF this hire goes south in a few years...UT wont be a factor for many yrs....there wont be a coach worth their salt who would want the job.

Can you blame them? They are use to winning, after UK beat them last year. I didn't even have the heart to rub that shite in their face.

I think Jones will do fine, next year probably not so much. But the year after I think we will see more of the old UT we all know and love.

No it isn't. I'm from Mt. Pleasant where Central Michigan is located. There is no proof of "his" program. What he did in the MAC conference with CMU was impressive going 20-3. However Central never won a bowl game only until after he bolted for Cincy did they win. He has had success but the question is has he rode the coattails of Brian Kelly. Well there is only one way to find out. I hope he has success there he is from Michigan and I'd hate to see it end badly there for him and his family. Plus it would be good for the SEC if Tennessee was relevant again. Perhaps Michigan can take another Heisman from you in the near future just like in 97 ;)
