Miles took OSU to three straight bowls in the 3 years after they wen to 1 in the last 12 before he was there.

Bielema took over a team that won 12 games.

JLS took over a team that won 11 and returned a ton of talent. won 4 games. I'm going to go ahead and say that bielema didn't just coast his way into three conference championships.

Ok but winning the big ten these days isn't a hugely bragworthy accomplishment

I guess losing is ok at arkansas as long as it's close

LOL no LSU fan makes excuses for that year like Arky fans are doing with BB.

Dude is a mediocre coach who feasted on the B1G's trash 4 and went less than .500 against everyone else.

Dennis Franchione was 42-18 at TCU and Bama before going to TAMU. As they say in business, past performance is not an indicator of future results.

Guess its time to bring this back since LSU fans are in complete denial that we hired a great coach.

Why are you singling out LSU fans

Everyone is skeptical about Bret Bielema.

Steve Spurrier had more losses his first 5 years at USCe than he did in 12 years at UF.

So what kind of qualifications do you expect for a coach that SEC programs should hire? What would the coach that we hired have to do to not be a bad hire?

I always here how he's crap but he won the 4th best conference in the country three years in a row.

Again if you look at how it actually broke out and BB didn't do particularly well against the non-dreggs of the Big ten despite being at one of the better programs in that conference.

Miles and Saban both exceeded expectations at little brother schools and won lots of big games and recruited very well for where they were. BB has not recruited well at all.

yeah, recruiting in oklahoma and michigan is pretty tough, even though those states produce twice the amount of talent that mich or okl could sign. nothing like being the only fish in a state that only gets 2-3 signed a year.

I'm still waiting on the "overwhelming evidence" that Arkansas is a "destination job."

Only Mich, OSU and Penn State (sans sanctions) are clearly better than Wisky.

At Arky the number of programs better than his will double

when was the last time you saw a coach leave on his own? Our coaches will jump ship mid season on an nfl team to be here.

Since Holtz you haven't had anyone good enough to be able to leave. BMFP would have had he not lost his mind.

After visiting Fayetteville I'm more perplexed than ever that anyone could think this. Everything about that place screams mid tier.

You say that but historically the numbers say different. Wisconsin is only relevant as of their last two coaches. they could have very easily fallen off into mediocrity after Alvarez left. As far as recruiting, it seems that he puts kids in the nfl at a very high rate and that's a much better gauge of recruiting than the website rankings.
