I'm not talking about bias reporting.
We all know some teams are loved by the media.
I'm talking about accuracy in reporting.
Journalists are employed to know what they're talking about, yet they're getting worse at knowing anything beyond the superficial topics with each team.
For example.
A national story on MU basketball talked about how much we're going to miss Dixon, how we don't have the depth to be a top 10 team anymore, we don't have another guard to share time with Pressey.
A local story talked about our 5 star guard that will be eligible at the end of this semester. That we have more depth than last year, how this years team has more weapons than last years. And it's not just homerism, they back up this optimism with reasoning.
So when I read a national story about your team, am I getting fed BS?

Well, Herbie hates us, but there's pretty good reason for that.
Corso loves us, I don't know why. Wasn't he the guy that got hit in the head with a golf ball at a game day at LSU some years ago?
