I think he would have been a big mistake, he is young and definitely would be in over his head running a program in the SEC. Especially one with the disadvantages UK has.

I think Stoops was a great hire, he really understands the step up in recruiting we need. Ohio is one of the few advantages we have over other SEC Schools. He is from there, and plans on recruiting it hard.

That's impossible to tell right now. Hiring a DC at a power school usually gives you almost nothing to go on until he coaches at a head coach. He could have been a shitty coach whose great players made up for his deficiencies. He could be a great coach who made his players look great. We don't know.

Tennessee - C (big time school, kept getting turned down)

Kentucky - B+ (Top DC, for a basketball school and being crappy for the past few years)

Auburn - C- Jay Jacobs sucks.
