I followed you coaching search pretty closely, once the delusions of Grudenure passed, your AD settled in and pulled in a big fish that is basically the next coming of Brian Kelly.

The parallels are uncanny, like Kelly he follows an offensive guru who has amassed an arsenal of highly touted recruits but for whatever reason just could not get them to get together and accomplish anything with them.

Like Kelly he takes over a program that has tradition based on wins compiled in the 40s and 50s a stadium that was state of the art in the 60s and a program that last had an impressive team in the 90s.

So if I was a Tennessee fan I would be excited, in three years, like Kelly, Butch will have you guys playing for the NC, so be prepared to stay up late and sing Rocky Top all night long!

Well thank you Dale. I've enjoyed all your posts over the last few weeks regarding our fine univeristy's coaching search. I appreciate all the kind thoughts and your optimistic outlook.

No problem man.

You know the rest of the SEC East is nervous with this hire as it has been made know that the sleeping giant has been awakened.

I think this could turn out to be a great hire for Tennessee. Time will tell.

Damn good hire for UT. I know that there were a lot of negative comments from their fanbase when they first got word of Jones at the helm. But I think that after the presser today, it's obvious that he's got character and a desire to win.

Congrats, Vols.

Well, for UT I guess there's nowhere to go but up.

I am not that familiar with BJ...but I think he is cut from coaching cloth that believes field position, very good defense and a run game are the main ingredients to winning football.

And he wont throw the ball 45 to fifty times a game. Thinking the aerial circus show just left Knoxvegas?

It's times like this when "tradition" and "prestige" of a program really come into play, helping you land a big name coach to an otherwise unattractive situation. Nice job.

All the Bama fans were following Baylor the night they beat K-State. If it weren't for Baylor, Alabama wouldn't even be in the BCSNCG.

Either you failed with reading comprehension, or I struggled with sarcasm.

It's going to get worse for Tennessee.
