Outside of playing cream puffs including Auburn he has looked awful lately. Against LSU (except the prevent-defense drive where LSU was giving us the short pass), A&M and Georgia he has thrown some horrible passes. Under-thrown. Overthrown. Off the mark, INTs which were absent until A&M are a concern everytime he slings the ball now. Had it not been for Cooper's unbelievable leap over the defender in the Georgia dome, the deep ball in the 2nd or 3rd qtr would've been picked as well.

Seems like he has lost some confidence lately. Hope he gets it back by January 7th.

If he plays like he has in the latter part of the season and we are unable to run on ND then I'm concerned it's going to be a long night.

He looks like he lost his timing after he was injured.

I have wondered for awhile if his bruised back was worse than what they were letting on. It seems like he hasn't been the same player since then.

I have thought the same thing. It reminds me of the way McElroy played his last year and we later found out that he had broken ribs.

I think that early fumble against UGA rattled him. He looked very "antsy" in the pocket, almost looking for a rush that wasn't there at times. He should be ready to go against the Domers.

For what it's worth, he was wearing a boot on a foot at the player's banquet. No clue what foot it was on.

I think it's simple. AJ is good, but he isn't great. When we started playing that part of our schedule, it makes sense that he hasn't looked as good.

Since he didn't blow the UGA game and in fact got a HUGE late game TD pass play, I'm all team AJ. He hasn't changed. The competition has.

Good thing is that if it is injury related, we got quite a bit of time for him to recuperate. Thank GOD.

He want real shiny at the end of last season either, come up big in NOLA though.
I think he will be fine.

I think he is doing OK, he still is making good decisions for the most part. I think one of his ints against A&M was tipped ball, can't remember, the last one was a terrible designed play and play call. Since it was fourth, he just about had to throw the ball covered or not. He also has had to throw the ball away many more times starting with Aggie game, sometimes that's all you can do.

I don't think the offensive scheme and play-calling is doing him any favors either. Add to that, teams have scouted the early games and Nuss is still running same plays from same formations in same situations. Hell, even the announcer is calling the play when a formation is shown. Effective usage of H-back and TE would be a great start and help open everything else.

LSU was not in prevent. They were playing man with the corners and safeties were back to prevent long plays. AJ made the throws he needed to however he still had a bad game with no pressure and he still was missing throws.

He threw the first one to Kenny Bell who got clocked resulting in a tipped ball. The second one was a poor throw. The play itself wasn't bad because Bell looked to be open, but AJ threw it behind him a bit allowing the defender to make the play.

You basically answered your question here: he isn't worth a shite against quality competition. There's no sugarcoating that fact.

It's not broken ribs; or his girlfriend cheating on him with Lacey; or his penis falling off (even though I could understand this resulting in terrible play).

I hate how our fans just will not admit when a player sucks dick, or is overrated (but let it be a tOSU player lighting up the field in the Big-10, shite the bed against an SEC team and they'll be the first to admit he's overrated).

The reason we are not willing to admit this is because he has had flashes of brilliance. The BCSNCG last season and the final drive in the LSU game this year showed us what he is capable of.
