Best SEC defensive player out of 2011 NFL Draft?

Its either between

A. Patrick Peterson ( 103 solo tackles, 7 Int's )
2. Nick Fairley ( 45 tackles , 5.5 sacks )

Who ya got?

When you say defensive, you're excluding all of Peterson's special team work.

Both are pretty average defensively, and both are on defenses that are star studded.

I'd say PP, he has shown more flashes than Fairley. Fairley is still working his way past a year of foot trouble, but he's not a very good player ATM.

"Average" ? Ehhh, PP7 had a beautiful circus interception in the Jets game. And fairley has had some health issues but is still a stud
