I mean he led the only scoring drive last week for the Jets, and now Sanchez is going to start against the Jags, and the chances of having a bad game against the Jags...well it isn't high. I guess we won't get to see what he can do for an entire game in the NFL. At least not for a long time.

I agree too bad the game is against the jags but I do believe Sanchez will be on a short leash. If he throws an early pick we could see a change but I wonder if tebow will be active.

I hope not. It's late, and you're not going to the playoffs if you're NYJ. Find out what you've got in GMAC, and if you lose more games, then just think of it as getting a better draft pick.

The Jets are such a horrible franchise. McElroy's future is in someone's front office or on TV, but Rex might as well give him a shot. He can't be worse than Sanchez, because Sanchez makes Trent Dilfer look like fricking Joe Montana. Seriously...he would have led the 2000 Ravens to a losing record. That's how bad he is.

If Sanchez tanks again I think Rex will put in gmac. Make him look like a hero again.

I do not understand how Sanchez is still even starting. The guy is awful. GMac deserves his chance.

Sanchez is going to destroy what's left of Rex Ryan's career. It's amazing how much he has regressed as a QB since he came into the league.

OMG guys, stop panicking

He has a lot of time left in his career and Sanchez still has time to screw everything up. As long as GMac preforms when he's called on, he could be first in line next year

Greg only had one rep in practice, and had never even been activated before the last game. In spite of being essentially ignored, he came in and lead the team to a score and a win.

He was the only QB in preseason to throw a td pass. He was the best performing QB in last year's preseason before he injured his thumb and went on IR.

Mac has performed well on every occasion that he has been given an opportunity. It is a shame that Sanchez has such a big guaranteed contract, as that is what is driving the decision on playing time.

Pete Carroll signed Matt Flynn to a big contract, but Russell Wilson beat him out. The Seahawks have a winning record, the Jets are 5-7.

Of course, its not entirely out of the question that Sanchez could suck again (even against the Jags). If that happens, there is no possible way Sanchez ever starts again for the Jets. GMac would have to be the #1 the rest of the year since he knows the whole playbook and Tebow pretty much knows only 'run left', 'run right' or 'hail mary'.

It is strictly a money deal. They have paid Sanchez so much money they think they will look like idiots if they dont start him. Reality is its a lose lose....they start him they will suck. Fans are going to go crazy if he sucks it up next game.....think he's under any pressure?
