So I guess the Heisman is "most overrated player in college football" now?

NOW? Where have you been the last 100 years or so?

The Heisman is first and foremost the most notable Notre Dame player. If he's not a viable candidate, it's the best player among the top Big Ten programs.

If they just can't find anyone suitable at that point, they consider the rest of the country.

Again, less than half the Maxwell winners also bring home the Heisman.

If anything, this bodes well for Johnny.

Just noticed that. Only player who wasn't at least a junior to win the Maxwell was Tebow.

2011-2012: None so far

2001-2010: Tebow, Newton

1991-2000: Detmer, Howard, Torreta, Ward, George, Wuerffel, Williams, and Dayne

I agree. The lb from ND couldn't start for some SEC teams.

Should have won it twice. frick the voters. Better than OSU's scrub Qb and Tebow. Want proof? Ask who's starting in the NFL out of those three.
