I won't presume to know who was the best center, but from the few games I saw him play, it was underwhelming. He's a good player, but if he's the best center in the country, this has to be the worst year for centers in...ever.

Travis Frederick? Khaled whatever from USC? Both are more or less the unanimous top-2 centers in CFB per NFL scouts.
You gotta be fricking blind if you think Jones is actually the best center in CFB. The difference is.. he plays for a winning team. Just like the heisman.. these awards are popularity contests.

The guy has had an amazing career at Bama. Glad to see good guys do so well.

Heismans a joke too. These awards are "who is the best center on a highly ranked team?", "who is the best player on a top-10 team", "which wide receiver plays for a heisman contender QB that didn't win it", "who is the best RB on a winning team".. It's just
Manziel probably won't win the heisman.. but I'm not sure anyone disputes him being the best player in CFB this year. His team just isn't contending for the BCSCG.
