Malzahn's affect on Mike Blakley?

I haven't really heard anyone else talk about it, but I always felt Blakely was a perfect fit for Malzahn's style of offense. He's a guy big enough to carry it between the tackles, but quick enough to get to the edge. I always remember Dyer having a lot of success on those runs where we pulled both guards to the same side and Dyer would ride them for about 7 or 8 yards every time. If he can get his head screwed on straight and learn how to hold on to the football I really think he could do well under Gus.
How do you guys think this hire affects him?

In all honesty, I would have lost a lot of drive trying to play under the regime last year. Not a whole lot of what they did made sense and it was clear that they played favorites. Him not holding onto the ball when he got a chance was no one's fault but his own, but he should have still gotten a few more chances to prove himself.

He played through a shoulder injury last year that wasn't made known to the public. Hope he can get it healthy and fight in practice to make an impact next year.

Hopefully that crap will be something that goes away with Chizik being gone as well.
