Is the SEC title game abandoned in 2014?

All having a title game does is hurt in the long run. Plus why would it be fair if a team avoided playing a conference title game and sneaks in because someone had to play an extra game? I have a feeling all conference titles will fall by the way side soon, until of course we move on to the 16 team conferences.

Hope not and doubt it. Money is too good. And the potential to hurt a team getting into the future 4 team playoff is really no different than the potential to hurt a team getting into the current 2 team "playoff" (i.e., championship game), and more often than not the SEC championship has helped, not hurt, in that regard.

Why is he retarded? This yr alone we could have put Fla, GA and Bama in the playoff without an seccg. ND nor number five Oregon played in a confcg.
