So Brian Van Gorder is now a free agent...Would he be worth a look?

This is of course is dependent on Mullen growing a set and firing Wilson but BVG had some damn good defenses at Georgia. Most AU fans wanted to keep him b/c they felt Chizik was mostly at fault by messing with his defense.

I do not think we are getting rid of Wilson. I would like to see us go after Cristobal..just got fired from FIU.

Well take a shot my friend b/c he's back barring us giving up 60 in the bowl. IF that were to happen I think we should just promote Collins. All that said, I think our D improves next year and returns to top 20 scoring D and we all relax

-Our best defense since 2007 was last year. This year wasnt good but I think he gets another year b/c we had a talent gap and we get exponentially more talented across the board next year (san cb).
-Geoff Collins was a really good DC at FAU and he was mentioned for the FSU job. He's a dang good coach. Unless we could bring in a home run I think he would be the guy is Wilson was let go.

If we are gonna have a puppet for an OC, I wish we would get one that likes to recruit and isn't quiet and boring. I can handle keeping Wilson, but he's gotta figure this spread shite out. He's gotta do more with disguising our defense instead of showing it before the snap and doing nothing after the audible. I am not giving up on Wilson yet, but I damn near wanted to this year when you could literally call out what the offense was about to run on almost every play in some games.

We should let Koenning run the defense against a spread team.
a. He knows the spread.
b. He's got to know what defensive formations work best against spread offensive formations.
c. I'm sure he knows at least some of our personnel.
d. Holy shite. Am I a genius?
e. Let's swap OC and DC for a game.
f. We'd be all over the news for being crazy and crazy awesome.
g. Maybe we could even let someone else coach special teams.
h. Jackie Sherrill?
