Looks like Gundy and Strong are staying put ( well according to the not always reliable ESPN). They have a historic program and great fan base so what is it that's holding coaches back from signing on the dotted line?

The fact that they haven't been offered.

it's now harder for a football player to be admitted at Tennessee than it is for them to be admitted at Vanderbilt.

that's the problem.

-The program isn't in great shape courtesy of Kiffen's abrupt departure and Dooley's Dooleying.
-Poor recruiting ground.
-Have to live in Knoxville.

John Brown says hello.

I am working on a Charlie Strong update right now. Charlie just called my guy and he missed the call.

A lot of Tennessee's problems have more to do with what Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and LSU have done well than what Tennessee has done poorly. That's not to say that Tennessee hasn't just shite all over themselves like a nursing home patient since 2008.

No one wants to have to play Saban on TSIO every year.

It's really bizarre that Tennessee has such a negative image right now.

I see it 2 ways. A former SEC coach that won't leave louisville to coach an SEC team that is supposed to be a good job is eye openning. It can say something about the image of the program. However, if the guy is happy at his job, an agent looks at another teams interest as a way to simply get a raise.

Either way, I have no problem with UT taking their time to make sure they get a good fit. Rushing gets you a Dooley.
